Loop Community Practices
This section is for Loop moderators who want to grow their community.
Complete Loop Set Up
First impressions are important, so making sure your Loop looks visually appealing is an important step. Ensure your Loop details are fully updated. This includes a Loop picture (500p x 500p). Cover image (1140px x 300px). A meaningful description of your loop using relevant keywords to help our suggestion engine recommend your loop.
Community Guidelines
Make sure your Loops community guidelines are clear and that Moderators stick to them. Lead by example to set the tone of the loop. The best place to add these guidelines is in the description or you could make a post and "stick" it to the top of the feed. This way when new Loop members arrive, it's the first thing they see.
Invite Friends
You can invite non Sooploop members through our share tool. Sharing your Loop on other social platforms can gain you more followers. Currently you can share directly to; Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. However, it's possible to copy a link to the post/Loop to paste on other platforms.
Welcome New Loop Members
Make your new Loop members feel welcome. You can do this by sending them a private message welcoming them when they join your Loop. Alternatively, you can post a welcome message once a week, to welcome all new Loop members.
Interact with Your Loop Community
Interact with comments and engagements on your Loop to stimulate engagements and create chatter.
Engage with Loops and Businesses
Engage in other Loops and business pages so the community get to know your name, attracting other users to your Loop.
Consistency and Frequency
Whether you’re posting once a day or once a week it's important that you stay consistent as users will learn to expect content at a specific time. This content should provide value so users come back for more.
Diversify Content Types
Keep your Loop interesting by using different content types, for instance Polls or Gifs. Diversifying your content types also allows you to connect with a wider range of users.
Tag others
When relevant, make sure to tag other users profiles to increase exposure and the chance of getting your post shared.
Celebrate Milestones
It's important to celebrate the little things, the steps, leaps and bounds. A Birthday here, an anniversary there. Post about it and keep your community engaged.
