When using any Scooploop functionality, you consent to the collection, storage, manipulation and other uses of your information as described in this privacy policy.
Regardless of your country of residence or browsing location your information may be used by Scooploop in the United Kingdom, or any other country in which Scooploop operates.
Personal Identification Information
When you create or edit a Scooploop account, you provide us with the following personal identification information:
- Your email address
- Your password
- Your name
We only collect this information when it is voluntarily submitted by users. Users can refuse to supply personally identifiable information, but this may prevent them from accessing specific site functionality. This information is not shared with any other user or third parties.
Your personal details will never be shared with any third party, however some of your comments may be indexable by Google and viewed by people who are not logged in.
You can view all posts, events and comments you have added to Scooploop at anytime.
Non-Personal Identification Information
When you use Scooploop webpages, our servers automatically record certain non-identifying details. These include but are not limited to your IP address, browser type, referrer, pages visited and search terms. We do not have the means to identify any person with this information.
Cookies
Our site uses "cookies" to enhance user experiences. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer's hard disk upon usage of the Scooploop service. Scooploop uses cookies to understand how users interact with our service, and for generic web traffic purposes. We use cookies to understand whether you already have an account, to prevent fraud and protect your data, to allow/prevent notifications which are/aren't relevant to you, and to track user engagement using online analytic tools. We occasionally use third party cookies to enhance user experience. These are listed by your browser.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
We never collect or maintain information on Scooploop from those we know are under 13 years old, and no part of our website is structured or designed to attract anyone under 13 years old.
Communication
When you send emails or communicate with Scooploop in other ways, we may retain those messages to allow us to respond and/or improve our services.
When you sign up with Scooploop, by default you are subscribed to our daily summary email. This email contains new posts, events, comments and reviews added by members of your local community over the previous 24 hours, and it is sent once per day. You have the option to turn this off completely or receive a weekly summary instead.
You will also receive notifications via email when using our services. All email notifications can be turned off for each specific post or turned off by default in the 'Notifications' area of your settings page. Notifications include:
- When someone comments on your post
- When someone comments on a post you have also commented on
- When someone adds you as a friend
- When someone accepts your friend request
- When someone sends you a private message
Private Messages
Any messages, videos or images sent through our private messaging system are considered to be between the sender and the receiver. It is against our policy to publish any such messages elsewhere. If you feel you have received an inappropriate private message you are to report it to our Scooploop Support team to deal with.
Links
We may present links in such a way that will allow us to track whether these links have been followed. This information is used to improve our search engine, content and advertising.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Scooploop have the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do we will inform our userbase through email. We encourage our users to frequently check this page for any changes to the above policy. Through usage of the Scooploop site, you acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this policy to be aware of any modifications.
Your acceptance of these terms
By using the Scooploop site, you implicitly accept the terms of this policy. Your continued use of the site following changes to this policy will be deemed as your acceptance of those changes. You can delete your account and any information you have provided us at any time.
